About Us

Bob and Deb have been running, biking, hiking and traveling around the country for years.  We love to bike and have done a number of multi-day distance rides.  On most of these we’ve talked (dreamed) about doing a bike trip across the United States.  Always the discussion broke down when we got to the logistics of making a 50 – 60 day trip.  None of us was interested in two months of camping… even sharing sag duties with an RV meant not riding the whole way.

Then, during one of these discussions, coming home from a ride to Ocean Park, Maine, our good friend, Dave (Mad Dog) Walker said “There must be some company that provides touring services for a cross country ride.”

DUH!  Deb immediately jumped on her smart phone browser and found America By Bicycle.  The decision was made and here we are… committed and already upping our training in anticipation.  As on the Welcome page, we’d love to have company… sharing a ride like this just makes it more memorable!  So come along in person and ride with us, or take a virtual ride each day.  We can use your support and the comradery.
